My project will be unique because it will have my voice, and a unique character named Kresh the Goblin.
Daily Log
Day 1: Today, I started my project, and made my List of 10 Good Ideas and my Planning Questions.
Day 2: Today, I made my story, and started my Mergecube project.
Day 3: Today, I worked on Scene 1 of my Mergecube project.
Day 4: Today, I finished Scene 1, and started Scene 2.
Day 5: Today, I worked on Scene 2.
Day 6: Today, I finished Scene 2, then went home to make Scenes 3, 4, and 5.
Day 7: Today, I made Scene 6. I also made my video, imported that video, and imported images.
Day 8: Today, was set back because we had an unexpected assembly.
Day 9: Today I imported a few more images, and did my reflection.
Reflection
Using a Mergecube, my iPad, CoSpaces, and a microphone, I created a short film called Kresh the Goblin (based off of Shrek). I created this because I love Shrek. I also created this because the idea of a red goblin and a goat seemed funny.
During this process, I learned that with enough studying, the Mergecube can actually be pretty easy. I originally was overthinking way too much. So, I worked on it at home, and got a lot done.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I set a goal, and achieved it. My project also ties to Knowledge Constructor because I used useful information online such as tutorials.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not having any experience with a Mergecube or CoSpaces. I was able to do it by watching useful tutorials online. Luckily the CoSpaces website provided some.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the duration of the chat bubbles. The reason why I would change it is because when I was recording the video, the chat bubbles would disappear too quickly. This made me miss some of the text.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Merge Higher Education.
