8-sided Dice
Rock, Paper, Scissors
Using microbits, my iPad, the microbit website, and coding, I created a nametag, rock paper scissors, and an 8-sided dice. I made dice and rock paper scissors because I like games. I created all 3 of these because I wanted to get better at coding.
During this process, I learned that coding is not as easy as it seems. Some of it (like the nametag) was easy, but others (like the rock paper scissors) was harder. I also learned that with enough experience, you can make some awesome things with coding!
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empower Learned because I set a goal. My project also ties to Digital Citizen because I responsibly chose what to share online. For example, I did not show my last name on my nametag.
A challenge I overcame on this project was barely knowing how to code. I had done a small bit of coding in elementary, but I forgot some of it. I was able to overcome this problem by watching the tutorials on the microbit website.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my amount of codes. The reason why I would change it is because I was aiming for at least 5 codes. Sadly, I didn't reach my goal, and only made 3.
