Project 5- Dash Wall Break
Using dash, I created a catapult. Using iRobot I Created the word ILL because it was three letters and just straight lines. Using the mini I created a rectangle, a square, and a triangle. Using bolt I created a party bomb that moves and jumps.
During this process, I learned how to code a robot to do things it didn't have parts for. Example being the iRobot. We had the robot jump which uses spinning really fast to propel is up. As you probably know you need legs to jump at the bend of the knees.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because before this project I only had little idea of coding from the microbit. Our hardest thing was the iRobot drawing because we didn't know much about it until we looked around.
A challenge I overcame on this project was working together. I was able to do it by us having conversations. Having conversations helped us by knowing what we are doing before we do it so we don't argue about what we want to do.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how much time it took us to look in the code. The reason why I would change it is because after we looked in the code for a while we had an understanding but it took a lot of time. If we had more time we could probably get more done and had more detail.
