8 P8 - Podcast

Using iMovie, Abbie and I created a podcast video. We made a podcast because we wanted to try and do something different. Like, something a little fun and kind of personal.

During this process, I learned how to use iMovie for our podcast. I learned how to upload our video. I also learned to edit some things for our video.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because we are having a conversation and talking about our opinions. It also ties to this because we are sharing our opinions and thoughts with other people.

A challenge overcame on this project was trying to come up with a topic and being able to find an idea. I was able to do this by talking with Abbie and just letting a topic come easily. We also wrote a list of some of the possible topics.

Given a chance to do this again I would change how long the podcast video was. I would also change or find other topics to talk about. The reason why I would change this is that I feel as though we could have found something better to talk about.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to digital multimedia. My project connects to careers like actually having a podcast channel or being some sort of influencer or producer.
