8 P4 - 3D Best Friend Heart Print

Using tinkercad, Abbie and I created pieces to go on a bracelet. We did this because we wanted to have some sort of best friend type thing we can put on a key chain or bracelet. We are probably going to just put these on key chains.

During this process, I learned how to work tinkercad. I learned to look at the sizes of our 3D print. I also learned how to navigate the options and objects in tinkercad.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to an innovative designer. It ties because we had to keep trying different designs and new things to get our project how we want it.

A challenge I overcame during this project was that we didn't know the sizes we needed and how to put the hearts together. I overcame this by looking for more object options and adding things to our hearts. I also overcame this by messing with the sizes and looking at the size numbers to match with the other heart.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the sizes of our hearts so they would fit better and not be so big on the chains. The reason I would change this is so it doesn't look weird on a key chain. I would also change it so they aren't all big and bulky.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Construction trades in the CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in jewelry making and toy making for kids. You can do jewelry making for things to add to key chains or something simple to put on a bracelet.
