For this project Isabella and I used the micro bit to communicate to each other, I had the A button that I clicked that sent a message saying "wassup dog" to her micro bit, and then she pushes the B button and it sends "Nothing Much HBU" to my micro bit, and then I use the A and B buttons to send a message saying "Same here" to her micro bit, then she uses the shake to send "Gtg" to my micro bit, then I use tilt to the left to send "okay bye bye" to her micro bit.
During this process I learned that the micro bit can send things to each other and send signals with a radio option that allows them to connect each other and be able to do this project. This was important because it was the whole part of the project like it was the main part of this project that made them be able to work and connect.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because we were being creative when communicating and sending messages to each other on micro bit with code. This skill is important for the future because it would help teach people how messages are sent and the code for it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was when the micro bits weren't connecting to each other and sending the messages. I was able to overcome this challenge when we decided to try plugging them into the same computer and putting the micro bits into the same radio group so they could connect better.
If I were to do this project again I would change some of the messaging and change what they were saying to make it a little shorter instead of longer messages. The reason I would change this is because it takes up time for the longer messages.
This project could connect to carriers in being able to create phones and when they send messages, they could make code for the sending of messages on devices with code. This is important because it would help people connect better when on devices in the future.
