8P8- Glow forge

Using Glowforge, I created a piece of wood with my name and jersey number on it because I wanted something with my name and basketball number on it.

During this process, I learned how to create a quality piece of work on the Glowforge.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because I was able to communicate what my name and number is through a piece of wood.

A challenge I overcame on this project was the difficulty of crating a decent drawing to print onto the wood. I was able to do it by slowing down and creating straighter lines.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the writing. The reason why I would change it is because I believe that I could write my name and number better than what I did.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Lamination.
