7p4 Augmented Reality

Daily Log

Day 1: I set up all of my supplies,  Day 2: I started on my storyboard, Day 3: I finished my story board Day 4:  I started on scene 1 Day 5: I finished scene 1 and started on scene 2 Day 6: I finished scene 2. Day 7: I finished scene 3,4 Day 8: i finished scene 5,6 and the coding for all the scenes Day 9: I finished everythig else that needed to be completed

• Using CoSpaces, I created an Augmented reality version of the three little chickens instead of The Three Little Pigs because I thought that would be the best for this project and show what I know. 

Along with what I can do with augmented reality, coding, and tools to create augmented reality versions of many different possible projects that could be created in the future.

• During this process, I learned how to use cospaces to make the coding and material for this project. In addition to using cospaces I also used iMovie. 

By using iMovie I was able to create visually stunning, high quality videos for this project. 

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to the creative communicator pillar in our class standards, because I can communicate many, many different things in many different ways with the use of augmented reality.

 For example I made animations instead of illustrated pages in a book to show the ideas of the author. Instead I used the many tools and uses of augmented reality to create a version of this story through 3-d and animation. 

• A challenge I overcame on this project was the lack of knowledge on the possible uses and functions of augmented reality. I was able to do it by using friends and various other resources to learn and grow my knowledge on the subject, functions, and possible future applications of augmented reality.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the aesthetics and other details regarding this project. The reason why I would change it is because my project is not visually pleasing to look at, and could use further refinement.

 It could also use some more flare/pizzazz. For example my voice overs and images are not done to the extent they have the possibility of being.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in web development and creative communication specialist.

 I choose these careers because they involve the skills of coding, website editing and development. Along with the skills of communicating in an irregular manner.
