 I am working by myself on this project

What materials will you need for your project?

A microbit, a connector, and a computer with the website on it.

What is your plan to create in this project?

My name, and a dice

What unique qualities will your project have?

A dice thing.

Day one: I did list of ten.

Day two: I got on the website to be able to code for the microbit.

Day three: I learned how to code my name into the microbit

Day four: I made a video showing my name

Day five: I decided to make a compass

Day six: I completed the compass and video and took pictures of the code

Day seven: I edited the video and added the video and photos to my website also the compass for some reason wouldn't work so I made a dice for the microbit.

Reflection

• Using IPads, Microbits, and Micro:bit website, I created my name and a dice because I ran out of ideas and the other ideas were too difficult at the time.

• During this process, I learned how to program a microbit.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I was thinking like a computer while doing this project.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to code. I was able to do it by searching the web or us the microbit tutorials.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change The dice. The reason why I would change it is because I would be able to have it ring when it turns to a new number.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in coding.
