Planning Questions

Are you working by yourself or in a team?

I was in a team of three it was me, Konner, and Jaxon.

What materials will you need for your project?

Cardboard, Hot glue, and scissors.

What is your plan to create in this project?

My plan is to create a Cardboard mimic.

What unique qualities will your project have?

Well it is a chest and it has cardboard hinges.

Daily Log

Day one: I did my list of ten good ideas and I finished it too and I drawed my plan to create the chest.

Day two: Me and my team cutted out the bottom of the chest and the first side.

Day three: Me and my team cutted out all the sides and glued one side on the bottom piece.

Day four: Me and my team glued some of the sides

Day five: We cutted out the top sides.

Day six: We cutted part of a piece of cardboard

Day seven: I bent a piece of cardboard into a roof for the chest and we glued all the pieces together.

Day eight: I had to reglue everything and make hinges in a short time but sort of finished.

• Using Cardboard and hot glue, I created a cardboard chest because my team didn't have any ideas except me.

• During this process, I learned that making a cardboard treasure chest is really hard to do.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I and my team had to make the design of the chest and my team and I had to decide how to make the chest.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was the hot glue. I was able to do it by regluing.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the whole project. The reason why I would change it is because the chest was horrible.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the innovative designer CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Innovative designer.
