REFLECTION
Using 3 Lego characters, pieces of legos, starwars character, and stop motion, I created a nice lesson for spending time outside. How I did this is we got our lego characters and made up stuff as we go. We had some good ideas, and some bad ideas but we will edit the movie when its finished. We chose to this lesson because some people just6 need to go outside and care for themselves and the world.
During this process, I learned things may take a little longer than expected but if you do it right a participate, you will get it all done in time. I also learned that spending time with your friends and the world around you can lead to healthy choices. One last thing is that I had more advancements to is spending time outside is good for your health.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to an Empowered Learner because me and my partner both chose what we wanted to make. We used our thinking and combined both of our ideas to make up a story of a healthy life habit.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the right decision. What I mean by this is, we had many struggles on what to do that would make sence and go with what we are trying to do. For instance we have a few campfires because we couldn't figure out what to do so we just added them in and it fit. I was able to do it by thinking with my partner most of the time.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change maybe add some more scenes or switch some scenes around. The reason why I would change it is because some scenes I don't like very much and some are just not as fun of they are boring. For instance we had quite a few campfires because we couldn't think of what to do, I would want to think harder and not add as much campfires.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School because my project focuses on using stop motion with some animations on the lego pieces. After we made a stop motion we then edited it on the iPad.
My project connects to careers in animation and film production because it involves using stop motion and animating items (legos) as the do in the industry. This process requires skills in filming, editing, animating, and storytelling. By working on this project it helped me connect to the animation and film production.
