7P8 Makey Makey

                               REFLECTION

• Using makey makey, I created  a piano with orange playdough for the button when connected to the makey makey by some alligator clips. The alligator clips where connected to the makey makey to the playdough t make it function. The playdough buttons would only work as a button if it was connected to the makey makey. I created this because I thought it would be really fun and cool to create a nicely working piano with orange playdough as the buttons.

• During this process, I learned how t make a makey makey by myself using an interactive piano using conductive materials. I also learned how to use alligator clips to connect them from the makey makey to the playdough, it is also really important for the alligator clips to be connected to the playdough for the interaction of conductivity to happen. Lastly I learned how creatively fun it is to connect art with technology, that makes learning fun and easy.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I used Makey Makey and playdough to create a digital piano with unique, interactive buttons, demonstrating creativity and problem-solving in design. By designing this project, I explored how everyday materials can be transformed into functional technology, which required creativity, experimentation, and problem-solving.  

• A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out how to do things and what to do. I was so confused because I was missing for a few days, but I was able to do it by asking some friends what we are doing and what websites we are supposed to be going on. Once I gathered all this information, I went to my computer go on the app and clicked on *make a piano*. I really struggled on how to get the playdough buttons to work but I just messed with some things and then figured it out. 

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change to maybe do a different creation that s not a piano. The reason why I would change to create a different creation is because the piano was rally easing and simple. I ant a more difficult task that can be fun at the same time. I really did enjoy this project but it was to easy. I would also probably change to not be gone one those days, but I probably couldn't change that but if I could it would be much easier because I would know what to to so I can get straight to work with a harder project.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School because I work wit the media to help me with my project. I used playdough for the buttons of my digital piano.

• My project connects to careers in Product Designing because it has the process of designing and building a functional and creative digital just like I did when I created a piano using Makey Makey and playdough buttons, with the skills of a product designer, who combines creativity and functionality to develop new product.
