8P6 - Stop Motion

The resources I was provided and used during this project are iMove, iMotion, a computer, and legos. With those resources I was able to create a short stop motion video about Little Timmy's backstory. I created this stop motion of our characters going on a hike in the wilderness because my partners and I wanted to create a stop motion that is about other parts of Little Timmy's back story. 

Throughout the process of this project, I learned how to do many things. One thing I learned how to do was make the legos appear as if they were moving by adjusting them and taking multiple pictures of each adjustment that was done. Another thing I learned how to do was use the iMotion app when we needed to take photos of the stop motion. 

There are 7 standards of for the class. Those standards are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project connects to the Innovative Designer standard for many reasons. One reason my project is tied to that standard is because my partners and I choose what we were going to make for this project. Another reason is that we decided how we were going to do this stop motion project. 

There were many challenges that I had faced during the process of this challenge. One challenge I faced was figuring out how to work the iMotion app. I was able to figure out how to use the app by asking my partners how to use it. Another challenged I faced was figuring out what the plot of the stop motion would be. I was able to overcome the challenge by having a small discussion with my partners before we started on what we wanted to make for this project.

If I was given another chance to do this project, there are many things I would change. One of the first things i would change is the length of the video. I would change this because we were running low on time and the video wasn't as long as I hoped it would be. Another thing I would change is the trip that the characters went on. I would change this by adding more to the trip because overall the trip was pretty boring to me. 

At the Hastings High School they offer many CTE programs. Those Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Programs are Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  The CTE program my project connects to is the Digital Multimedia CTE program that is offered at Hastings High School. My project is tied to the Digital Multimedia CTE program because my partners and I created something in real life that can only be viewed by a digital device.

There are many careers that my project cna connect to. One career that I think connects to my project the most is a stop-motion animator. I think my project and stop-motion animators are connected because of many reasons. One reason they are connect is that stop-motion animators use stop motion to make animations and for this project my partners and I used stop motion to create a video. Another way they connect is that both require lots of editing in order to be a good video or animation.
