8P1-Video

Using an iPad, computer, iMovie and Google, I created a short video about how I've changed since last year because I wanted to share my new interests and activities so others can see how I have changed since 7th grade.

During this process, I learned how to do voice overs on iMovie, add transitions on iMovie, and find creative common license images.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to the Creative Communicator standard because I created a video using other images I had found to give them a new purpose of being things that I like or enjoy doing.

A challenge I overcame on this project was the amount of time given to complete the project. I was able to do it by finishing up the video and adding my voice over on the last day given to complete the project.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of the photos I used and the sound effects. The reason why I would change a few of the images is because I have things that I like better than some of the images I used and I wanted the video to be about things I really like rather than things I don't really like as much.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in film editing because this project required me to edit a video with a voice over, transitions, sound effects, and have background music.
