Using iMovie, iPad, Legos, computer, toy cars, cardboard road, and a cardboard house I created a 2 minute film about Timmy going to a concert and him having a great time but a guy then was bulling him the entire time because I wanted to create a project that was unique and connected to my other projects.
During this process, I learned how to create a stop motion movie using legos and other objects.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I design how my project was going to look and how it was gonna happen.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the characters stand up without falling down. I was able to do it by using lego baseplates to help them stand up without faceplanting.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what happened after the concert. The reason why I would change it is because we rushed the rest of the entire project because we were really far behind.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in animators because I used stop motion which is a form of animating to create a short video about Little Timmy.
