Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I will be working by myself for this project.
What materials will you need for your project?
Computer, Tinker cad, Google, iMovie, an iPad, and a 3D printer.
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan for this project is to create a spot to hold my used bookmark tabs.
What unique qualities will your project have?
Some unique qualities that my project will have is that it will be my design and it's an original project idea.
I made my website page. Answered the planning questions partly and filled out my ten good ideas. Worked on the design of my project a little bit.
I looked at ideas for my project. I added more to my website page. I worked on just understanding Tinker cad more. Made a few designs and pieces.
I started figuring out how to make my project. I worked with joints a little bit. I thought of some designs and made some prototypes of them.
I finished the design of the project. I worked on my reflections. Updated part of my website page and took screen shots of the progress. Started printing the project on a printer.
Made a video of project. Added text and transitions to the video. Added sound effects and background music. Finished working on my reflections and completed my website fully.
The resources I used for this project are Tinker CAD, an iPad, Google, a computer, iMovie, and a 3D printer. With these resources I was able to create a box that holds my used bookmark tabs. I created this because I wanted to have something that would hold the tabs I used once I finished a book. I wanted a space to hold the tabs to keep as a reminder of the books I have read.
During the process of this project I learned how to do many things. One thing I learned from this project was making joints on Tinker CAD. I also learned how to make shapes by using the hole tool.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to the Creative Communicator standard because I used an the appropriate tools and resources for this project. I also created an original design during this project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was deciding on what to design on Tinker CAD. I was able to do it by using google, looking at things I have around my room, and looking at other people's projects from the previous years.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I did the daily logs. The reason why I would change it is because I was running low on time with this project and didn't put a lot of description into the logs. I wanted to add more into my logs but I didn't have enough time to complete both the design and the website in detail.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the ]Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in CAD designer because I used Tinker CAD to make a 3D model of my project and printed the model using a 3D printer.
