Are you working by yourself or in a team?
By myself
What materials will you need for your project?
Circuit playground, computer, Microsoft MakeCode
What is your plan to create in this project?
A dice, a jukebox, a touch sensor, sound sensor, clap on clap off lights, lights that change color with a button.
What unique qualities will your project have?
A dice that picks a random number 1 through 10 when shaken, a jukebox that plays music, a sensor that changes color and changes music when you touch a certain pin, clap on clap off lights that change when a loud sound is made, lights that change color when button a or button b is pressed.

Made lights that change color when pressing button A or button B
Made lights that come when a loud noise is made
Made a die that rolled 1 to 10
Made a a flash bang
Made a touch sensor
Made a juke box
Add more notes
Added more lights to my lights codes.
Using Microsoft MakeCode, Circuit Playground, and a computer I created a touch sensor, lights that change color when a button is pressed, a dice, and clap on clap off lights because I wanted to create something that was cool but kind of challenging to make.
During this process, I learned how to make a dice, clap on clap off lights, touch sensor, lights that change with the press of a button.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I chose what projects I was going to create and how it was going to happen.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making clap on clap off lights, I was able to do it by watching tutorials and trying it on my own a few times until I got it right.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my touch sensor. The reason why I would change it is because it's kind of boring and I wish it was more interesting.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in light programming because I coded my Circuit Playground to display led lights.
Using Microsoft MakeCode, Circuit Playground, and a computer, I created a series of interactive projects, including a touch sensor, lights that change color when a button is pressed, a dice, and clap-on/clap-off lights. I did this because I wanted to create something that I thought was interesting but still complex to make. During this process, I learned how to create a dice, clap-on/clap-off lights, a touch sensor, and lights that change color with the press of a button. These projects helped me gain skills on coding sensors, and light programming. I chose Empowered Learner because I chose what projects I would be doing and how I would make those projects work in the way I wanted them to. One challenge I overcame during this project was making clap on clap off lights. The challenge I had while making these was figuring out how to make the lights turn on and turn off. If i could do this again I would redo my touch sensor. I would change my touch sensor because I thought it would be cooler but it was kind of boring and I wish it was more interesting. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hasting High School because I coded my Circuit Playground to do the things I wanted it to do. My projects connects to careers in light programming because I coded my Circuit Playground to display led lights when I do a certain thing.
