8P1- Tinkercad

During this project I worked alone, I will need to utilize the 3-D printer and website tinkercad. My plan was to create a toilet with a Squatty Potty. I feel that my entire project is unique due to what has been created.

Using Tinkercad, I created a toilet with a Squatty Potty to help bring recognition to an absolutely incredible design idea. This task took about 2 hours and many different solution ideas, though it was not particularly difficult to create it still did take the ability to problem-solve.

During this process, I learned a multitude of different ways to create inanimate objects. I found how to group multiple objects together, change the color of different shapes, as well as different ways to layer the objects. I also learned how to effectively function on the website Tinkercad.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I needed to discuss with multiple people on design ideas as well as how to use the 3-D printer by myself.

A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to find the right combination of shapes to get the correct item displayed in the end. Though it may seem like a simple task of the number of items and specifics of placement. It took many tries to do so however in the end it was executed.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to careers in Digital Multimedia. A job that I could get using this is at a part developing plant to make 3D printed prototypes.
