The largest video on the right is our makey makey piano in action. The picture on the upper left shows where we attached the alligator clips on the makey makey board. The picture on the top right is showing what the other end of the clips was connected to as well as what we used as the conductor. The last picture on the bottom left shows the original drawing of what we had wanted to create before the attempt to execute the design itself.
My group that consisted of two other Hastings students created a makey makey piano. we all contributed to the project using our different skills for different aspects of the project. One of our initial issues was trying to figure out what design we wanted to do then after deciding it was simply how to connect to clips and wires and then we started making way on our actual project. After figuring out we learned that it was very easy to progam the makey makey to play like a piano by simply tapping on one of the pieces of play-doh and holding earth (a certain connection point). One way that we could make our project better is by using a different source as a conductor since we had to reform our pieces after every day. One career that this project could tie to is an engineer since I had to use a lot of problem solving, and had no other choice but to be innovative.
Global collaborator is one of the standards that I achieved by working with a group of people as well as asking others about their opinion and asking for advise. I was also a digital citizen by keeping names, and identities safe by not saying, the names, or showing faces. One other standard that I used was a creative communicator since I discussed different possibilities for our project and how we could make it better.
