The end of the second quarter is on January 15th. Please have your students check their grades thoroughly with you on the grade report sent out by Ms. Phelps this Sunday, and talk through any missing assignments, grades, or questions you and your students have. The students are welcome to ask myself or Mrs. Barrios about anything on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Please note that extra credit opportunities have been given throughout the quarter in different subject areas, so please do not encourage your students to ask for extra credit two days before the end of the quarter. 

*Some students are needing to replenish some school supplies, specifically notebooks, more loose leaf paper for notes. Please ask your child if they need these, as it starting to seem that many of our supply bags are running low or notes have no more space to write new notes.  

Maps Testing is coming up quickly. We are beginning with Math testing this week, along with Language Arts. The Reading MAPS will not begin until the week of 20th-23rd.

Chapel is this week Wednesday at 9 AM. Our fifth graders are helping lead chapel in different ways. Please be sure you ask them how they can practice to prepare! 

RED Friday is coming up Friday, January 16th.  R.E.D. stands for Remembering Everyone Deployed, and wearing RED on a Friday helps us be mindful of the deployed and the sacrifices their families make. We have so many amazing military families at Hanford Christian, and we want to thank them and support them! 

Coming up, Monday January 19th there will be no school in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
