Jessie Yaun

Biography

As an Organic World Language (OWL) teacher and a Restorative Practices practitioner, Jessie is committed to dismantling inequitable practices in the classroom and her school community at large.  Relationships and community are at the heart of her classroom and advisory.  Jessie’s classroom is a reimagined, playful, and spontaneous space that centers students’ strengths and lives in instruction and assessment.

 

Jessie aspires to continually reflect and improve her teaching practices.  She regularly attends trainings and presents at conferences and trainings.

 

Jessie holds a Master’s in International Relations from the International University of Japan through the Mitsubishi Yamamuro Scholarship, and a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and Sciences in Spanish from SUNY New Paltz.
