Biography
Tara has lived in the US, UK, Spain, Chile and France. She holds a master's degree in Spanish Language & Culture from the University of Salamanca (Spain), a Massachusetts State teaching license, a CELTA certificate from Cambridge University and a bachelor's degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder. She is the owner of Work-Life Spanish, a boutique Spanish-language school in Falls Church, VA that offers Spanish language and culture to students of all ages and abilities.

Days/Hours: Part Time
Job Description: Prepare and customize Spanish-language lesson plans for one-on-one lessons with students based on their needs and interests; Create Spanish-language curricula and courses for students of all ages and levels for other teachers to utilize; Conduct interactive Spanish-language lessons for students of all ages and proficiency levels using teaching methodologies; Write post-lesson emails to students after each class; Track student attendance and retention rate; Impart lesson plans and course materials during indicated time frames; Evaluate students’ Spanish language skills to determine starting levels and progress; Track and monitor student progress and provide follow-up support; Manage marketing efforts to boost class enrollment through creating newsletters and promotional materials to share via email and on major social media platforms.
Requires: Bachelor’s degree in education. linguistics, Spanish or related field or equivalent foreign degree. 12 months of Spanish language teaching experienced required; 12 months of experience designing Spanish language curricula required. Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Zoom required.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD seeks a part-time 6th grade Latin teacher to begin August 18, 2025. The mission of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is to know and inspire each child in an inclusive community dedicated to exceptional teaching, learning, and service. Position: The job involves teaching one year-long Latin course to 6th grade students. A
minimum of two years teaching experience is desired.
Compensation is contingent upon experience:
● Minimum Annual Salary: $12,000
● Maximum Annual Salary: $20,000

Qualifications: Coursework in Latin with a Bachelors in any discipline. Our community is
