The Tea Bush is a perennial plant originally from Asia. Like its namesake, this plant is used for tea. Because of this, the tea plant is exported across the world and now we have it in the Butterfly Courtyard.
Identification:
This plant can grow up to 7 feet tall. The leaves are mid-length and glossy. When people are harvesting leaves, they take the top leaves only
Flowers:
The tea bush has small, white flowers with yellow centers. They only bloom in the fall
Butterflies:
Butterflies will drink the nectar of the tea bush, but they do not have a strong liking for the plant.
