• Juvenal's duskywing caterpillars are green with a light brown head. They have three vertical white stripes

• Juvenal's duskywing  host on species of oak (quercus)

• The Juvenal's  duskywing chrysalis is light to dark brown in color and it often has white powder over portions of it 

• This butterfly is brown, and is sometimes mistaken for a moth. It tends to have a more intricate pattern on its upper two wings then its lower two. The way you can distinguish this butterfly from the very similar wild indigo duskywing is some of the spots on the wings are different sizes
