Showy tick trefoil is common in upland prairies, roadsides, and old fields. Tick trefoils are an excellent food source for wildlife.
Identification:
Leaves are alternate along the stem and divided into three leaflets. The stems have long, soft hairs and the fruit pods are in 3 to 5 hairy segments that can easily attach to clothing. They can grow up to 6 feet tall
Flowers:
The flowers are pink and look like Snap Dragons. They bloom between July and September.
