We are excited to be heading back to the class and to see all of the students!

Supervision starts at 8:15 am and doors open at 8:20 am. Students are asked to line up outside their respective doors and the teacher will meet them to bring them into the school. Of course, parents are welcome to come in at that time to see their child to their classroom and take back-to-school pictures. If you are not sure who your teacher is or what door to line up at, please come in the front door. Class lists are hanging in the foyer and a staff member will be there to help you out! You can also look on PowerSchool to see who your child's teacher is.

*Please note that due to changing enrollments, class rosters may change*

Thank You -

Thank you to all of the CES families that were able to make it out to the Welcome Back and Meet the Teacher evening. It was wonderful to see so many families there and to be able to hear what many of you did over the summer.

*Please note that we had quite a few hot dogs left over. Therefore on Friday, Sept. 2, we will be serving hot dogs to the students during lunchtime. We encourage parents to send extra food in their child's lunch as one hot dog may not be enough lunch for them. If there are any parents that would be available to help cook and serve the hot dogs, please contact the office.*

Student Drop-off!

For the safety of the students, please remember that the keyhole at the end of the school entrance is a 'kiss & go' zone. If you are parking and leaving your vehicle we ask that you please use one of the limited spaces in front of the school or the street.

Please do not park in the staff parking spots in front of the school or in the parking lot behind the school. Also, please remember that the bus lane is not to be used between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This year, we have several students that have limited mobility, so please leave the accessible parking spots available for those students.

Thank you for your cooperation!

The Ned Show

On Thursday, September 15 @ 1:30 the Ned Show will be doing a virtual presentation to the school. The Ned Show is a school-wide character education program that centers around a 45 minute assembly. NED is a loveable cartoon character whose name is an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best.

For over 25 years, The Ned Show has used yo-yo tricks in their school performances. This bit of old-fashioned fun helps them be entertaining and unforgettable in the mind of a child as they share how “NED” learns to never give up, encourage others and do his best. Yo-yos will be available for purchase the week before the show and the week after. More information on pricing to follow.

Parents are welcome to join us at the school to watch the presentation.

Parent Teacher Association

The first PTA meeting of the year will be taking place on Thursday, September 8 @ 3:20 at the school. The PTA is in the process of creating a document to share with families that highlights the fundraising they have been doing as well as all of the other wonderful things that the association does for the school!

School Council

The Annual School Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 13 @ 3:20 @ the school. A school council works to promote the well-being and effectiveness of the entire school community with the goal of enhancing student learning. All CES parents are members of the school council and are therefore encouraged to attend the School Council meeting and activities.

Terry Fox Run

The Annual School Terry Fox Run will be held on Friday, September 23. Parents are welcome to join us for the walk. Please stay tuned for more information.
