Council of School Communities Engagement Event

Black Gold Board of Trustees will be holding TWO Council of School Communities (CoSC) engagement evenings this year. The first will be held on the evening of Wednesday, October 21st. The second will be held on February 23, 2021.

Two parent members from the school may attend. If you are interested, please send an email to ces@blackgold.ca to let us know.

The Format:

  • Participants will be shuffled into virtual breakout groups of approximately 5 - 6 members each.

  • Each group will have one school administrator act as recorder and moderator.

  • Each group will be given a question on which to ponder and provide feedback. The group will spend 25 minutes discussing the question and providing input.

  • Moderators/recorders will work to ensure that everyone gets a chance to share their views in a safe and welcoming environment. They will also gather the information in a prepared form.

  • There will be three ‘rounds’.

  • At the end of each ‘round’, there will be a 10 minute bio break.
