In this article, Karlee Cornell fangirls about Ben Schwartz, a well-known voice actor, and actor, coming to Portland, Oregon on June 19, 2023.
Ben Schwartz, well-known for his characters: John Ralphio in Parks And Recreation, Leonardo in Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Turtles, and Sonic, from the two Sonic The Hedgehog movies, is coming to Oregon, first for his improv tour starting in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, according to Ben's website Rejected Jokes. As a member of the TMNT fandom, this made me so happy, because someone even said on Schwartz's Twitter, ''Oregon is ancient, you're actually coming?'' The comment explains how actors that are known worldwide don't just randomly show up in Oregon first on a tour. Even if you think artists are interested in Oregon just because they have said that the state is pretty, the management usually does not give a flying tail. However, Ben's management is letting Oregonians have a chance to see him in person first. This is going to be super, super, super fun.
Schwartz has been acting for four years, voice-acting for nine years, and started doing improv for 20 years at an improv club in New York, according to The Guardian. When Ben does improv shows, there's a certain time limit: only act for 25 minutes. Every single time, someone adds something to the story so it makes sense. Following up on more parts of the show, Schwartz talks to one lucky person about how their day is going, and starts a back-and-forth conversation, as shown on his website. That lucky person gets to tell Ben Schwartz a suggestion to start the show. I am probably going to be on the balcony, acting like he said something to me, and one of his friends will be pointing.
The Arlen Schnitzer Concert Hall is a small building. Ben Schwartz may even bump into some audience members. Hey, it is likely to happen to me. Since VIP people have to wait more, I apologize to the rich people, since I will be in a $35 dollar cheep-o seat on a balcony, as listed on Portland 5 . I have a tad bit of social anxiety-- actually, two different kinds-- to get the attention of a golden retriever-like man. Schwartz posted about his Samsung laundry machine breaking once. Don't even get me started on mine not even blowing up, or breaking down yet. That's scary luck, just like my own personal luck recently. June is our month!
Grab some vision goggles and some popcorn, and be prepared to be amazed by the events coming. Now Treasurer of The Scroll, Karlee Cornell, signing off, unless Ben Schwartz comes back, which he probably is since he is also touring next year You are just going to be stuck with me gushing about Ben Schwartz forever.
