SchoolMessenger is a system we use for emergency-related notifications. If you decide to sign up for the texting feature, please be advised that you will receive a phone call and a text message in emergency situations. You will also now have the ability to receive a text message for weather-related school cancellations, late openings and early releases.

Please read the following instructions carefully:

In order to participate in the new service you must indicate your willingness to receive text messages to your phone. The process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete. Up to two cell phones can receive text messages. Please note: If you have updated your back-to-school forms, it is not necessary to contact the main office your child(ren) attend; however, you will need to contact the school(s) if you need to update or add cell phone information.

To sign up or these text messages type YES to 67587

You will know you were successful in signing up when you receive the following reply message:

You are now registered with the SchoolMessenger notification service. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Msg&data rates may apply. 3 msgs/mo. Schoolmessenger.com/tm

You may cancel out of the service at any time by texting the word STOP to the number 67587. Please note: You may begin or restart the service at any time by texting the word Yes to the number 67587.

Although the district does not charge you for this service, data charges may be incurred through your wireless carrier. Check with your wireless carrier for possible charges.

School Closings

In case of inclement weather, information relative to school closing will be available through radio stations WTIC AM and FM, WDRC, WRCH, WKSS and on the school website.  Announcements will usually occur between 6-7 a.m.  School closings are the responsibility of the Superintendent of Schools. Families may also be notified by School Messenger Calling System.
