Frequently Asked Questions about the Portfolio

I am experiencing a technical issue with my portfolio, what should I do?

Here are the four things I would do, in order, to seek out help with a technical issue with my portfolio:

  1. Check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of this website.

  2. Ask your peers. Someone has experienced the same issue before.

  3. Ask your instructors. They may have seen the issue before or can direct you to someone who has solved that issue.

  4. Email Dr. Joel Amidon (jcamidon@olemiss.edu). In most cases a well-described problem can be solved over email. If not, an appointment can be made.

I created my portfolio, but I cannot find it. Where is it?

Google Sites are just a different kind of file in your Google Drive. Simply log in to Google Drive with your @go.olemiss.edu email address and search for the file, which probably has some version of your name within the filename.

I am trying to edit my portfolio, but it keeps saying I need permission.

If you are logged into multiple Google accounts Google Drive may be jumping back in forth between your @go.olemiss.edu account and your personal Google account. Log out of all Google accounts and then only log in with your @go.olemiss.edu account. I filled up all of the artifact pages included in the template. How do I add more?

Create a duplicate of one of your existing artifact pages by using the "Pages" tab on the right side of your editor window. Click on the vertical three dots to the right of the page you want to duplicate and select "Duplicate page". Clear out the old content and insert your new artifact information. Also remember to create a link to your new artifact page on the "Artifacts" page.

Is there any way that I can move my portfolio from my University of Mississippi Google Drive to my personal Google Drive, so I don't lose it when I graduate?

I deleted a standards page that I need for my area of certification. How do I get it back?

First, don't delete any pages in the template. If any thing just hide them from navigation (there are directions on this page on how to do that). But if you did delete a standards page and need to recreate it here are the directions for how to do that.

I launched my Educational Leadership Portfolio in the Fall of 2021 and my standards pages don't match the current template, how do I fix that?
