About Me

Welcome to the “About Me” section of my website. Here you will find out about my professional experiences as well as some of my interests. I will start off with a little bit about my interests on this page and you can see more about my professional experiences by visiting the subpages of this section.

I started playing trumpet in my school band when I was in Grade 7 and have been heavily involved with music ever since. I decided to study music in university after my first year, and went on to become a music teacher. I still play cornet in the Bridgewater Fire Department Band and attend as many live musical performances as I can.

I have always enjoyed creating things with my hands. I learned how to sew and knit when I was a child and continue to do these things as hobbies. I have helped with costume making for several theatre productions, built lanterns for festivals, and enjoy decorating my classroom and creating sets for school concerts.

I like to travelling and love being outdoors. I enjoy hiking, swimming, snowshoeing, cross-country ski, and skating. I love dancing and have taken swing dance classes. I lived in Harlow, England during my Education Internship, which allowed me to visit Ireland, Scotland, France, Amsterdam, and Germany. I had the opportunity to explore many parts of Newfoundland in the nine years I lived there.
