We made decimal art which is when we make creative paper with squares and make our favorite number or anything that is nice and inappropriate. We colored the hundredths grid with three colors, the colors are optional. We combine 1/100 to learn math, and also we have fun. We learn math decimals, and we also become smarter and have more understanding of decimals. In decimal art, we can see that are creative and also do math that can help us if we have problems with decimal. Decimal art is a creative and educational activity that combines mathematics with artistic expression. We color the hundred grid with 3 colors then we count each color of what color example, we have peach, pink, and purple. Then we use the number to do like this example: 44/100 then we convert it to a decimal number, which is 0.44. After we are done, we order the decimal from least to greatest. This activity helped us express our feelings with math and art.
We had the opportunity to watch the Lorax movie. It was about a kid, Ted, who lived in a plastic town. Ted listened to the once-ler regrets. There was a part when Ted wanted to find a plant to give to a girl he liked. He went to the Onceler again, and he gave the last seed to him. We learned so much from the movie as it gave us very important lessons. When the movie started, we noticed that the whole place was a plastic town. The trees were even made from plastic. Their air is made in bottles because the air is actually polluted from where they took the air.
After we watched the movie, we did a Quiz about the Lorax movie. We had a quiz about the Lorax movie. We enjoyed it very much.
Through the Movie, we learned about natural resources and our duty to protect them. We also realized that morals are important, like keeping your promises to other people and not breaking them. We also learned about not using/wasting too much of the Earth's resources.
We had so much fun watching the movie in the theater.
