Diploma Programme Update: Sep 2022

Dear Parents,

Greetings.

Here are a few updates regarding the programme at the school.

Year 12:

M23 exam session - the students will take full suit assessments that are outlined in the programme and subject documents on PRC/MyIB
- IB will try to return the grade distribution close to M19 but also consider the learning affected by the ongoing pandemic while setting the grade boundaries.
Exam scheduling - To increase the security of the exam session, new definitive start times for Diploma Programme examinations will be introduced in the May 2023 assessment session, alongside moving to a three “exam zone” (previously called “time zone”) approach for setting the schedules. The IB will remove timeframes to complete morning and afternoon examinations (e.g., morning examinations starting after 0700 hours and finishing by 1300 hours local time).

DP arts subject group components - revised submission deadline
- From the May 2023 assessment session, the IB is changing the submission dates for one coursework component in each DP arts subject group to an earlier deadline of 15 March for May session candidates. Click here for the revised submission deadline.

Year 11:

The DP office is helping the students to change their subjects/levels.
