Our young scientists became microbiologists this week with a beautifully gross hands-on experiment! 🍞🦠 To see how quickly germs travel, the students compared three slices of bread: Clean Bread (untouched), Dirty Bread (handled with unwashed hands), and Very Dirty Bread (rubbed on high-traffic classroom surfaces). It didn't take long for the microbes to take over, giving everyone a front-row seat to how fast invisible bacteria and mold multiply. This eye-opening STEM activity was the ultimate visual reminder of why thorough handwashing matters, and safe to say, we are all scrubbing our hands a little longer today! 

We had a giant smile in our classroom today when a real dentist came to play! 😁🦷 To start our new adventure learning about healthy habits, our special guest showed us how to take super good care of our bodies and our teeth. We practiced brushing away the sneaky "sugar bugs" and played an awesome dental game together! Kindergarten now knows exactly how to keep our smiles sparkling bright. We used some real science magic today to watch germs run away! 🌶️✨ To see how soap works its superpowers, we sprinkled black pepper into a bowl of water to look just like sneaky little germs. When we dipped a plain finger in, the pepper stuck right to us—but the second we put a dot of soap on our finger, zoom! The "germs" chased right to the edges of the bowl! Our kindy kids gasped and cheered as they watched the pepper fly away. It was the perfect, fun way to show our little detectives exactly why we need soap to scare the germs away! 🧼🦠👋
