Dear Global Jaya Community,
The school year is well underway, and our students are now developing routines and habits that will lead to their success in the classroom. Over the past three weeks, students have started their ASAs, joined sports teams, attended assemblies, taken part in a House cheer competition, along with making new friends and connecting with their classroom teachers. Basically, the school has been a busy hub of activity with much to already celebrate, and students clearly at the heart of the school.
A big thank you to our Parent Association for organizing a successful and meaningful Family Sports Day (Sportschella). The event brought out the best in our students, teachers, and parents, and it certainly could not have happened without the time and organization from our Parent Association. Once again, well done!
To help you prepare for the upcoming month of September, several important events and activities are highlighted below.
For parents of students in Year 5 and Year 10, the CAT4 test will take place on September 15th and 16th. A letter has been sent to our Year 5 and 10 parents with details about this important test. Also, we hope that our Year 5 and 10 parents can attend the CAT4 information session scheduled for September 9th. Upon completion of the tests, we will share the CAT4 results in Managebac during the week of October 5th. You will receive a message informing you that the results have been uploaded. We hope you use this information to better understand strengths and weaknesses of your students as learners.
Global Jaya is proud to once again host the IB Asia Pacific Regional Workshop from September 4-6. Over 140 participants will attend PYP, MYP, and DP workshops at Global Jaya School, allowing our teachers and teachers from around Indonesia to enhance their IB knowledge and teaching practices.
As always, I am grateful to the Global Jaya community and the support we receive each and every day from our parents and students.
Kind regards,
Dr. Howard Menand
