As part of our Unit of Inquiry, Year 3 students explored the transdisciplinary theme How We Organize Ourselves through two enriching field trips. At Museum Bank Indonesia, students learned about the history of money, the evolution of trade over time, and how societies developed systems to support economic exchanges. They observed ancient currencies, early banking tools, and interactive displays that helped them understand how money has shaped communities. Throughout the visit, students demonstrated curiosity and strong research skills, asking thoughtful questions and making connections to their classroom learning.
The mini trip to Hero Supermarket Bintaro became even more special as students applied real action by choosing an eco-friendly way to travel , walking together to reduce vehicle use and carbon emissions. At Hero, they investigated producers, consumers, goods, and services while practicing counting rupiah and making responsible spending decisions in real transactions. The experience was not only engaging and fun but also strengthened their numeracy, communication, and collaboration skills. Students embodied key learner profiles such as being inquirers, thinkers, caring, and principled individuals who make mindful choices for their community and the environment.
