Dear Community Members,
Congratulations to the GJS Graduating Class of 2023! On Wednesday, our GJS Year 12 Graduation Ceremony recognised and celebrated our graduating and departing Year 12 students. Please know we are so very proud of every one of you. We wish you lifelong good health, endless happiness, and unlimited success in any and all endeavours you set your sights on, be it in new cities in countries around the world, or right here in Indonesia.
We are also very proud to announce that our Year 6 Students, the GJS Class of 2029, have also earned their passage into Secondary School as our incoming Year 7 students of the 2023-2024 school year as they celebrated their PYP Graduation Ceremony. We look forward to their contributions to our school community as our newest and youngest Secondary cohort.
If you missed any other of our graduations or celebrations, please check out the Events page of this Kontak for links to our videos. If you wish to see all recent and past GJS video publications, please visit our Youtube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/GlobalJayaSchoolOfficial/videos
At the conclusion of this year, some members of our GJS faculty and staff will also be departing our community as they seek opportunities and adventures in new locations, or who will be entering into retirement. Please see below our list of departing faculty and staff, all of whom have diligently and professionally served both the students and the wider GJS community during their tenure. We wish all our departing faculty and staff best wishes moving forward! (Please scroll through all 6 slides below)
With faculty, staff, and students, as well as some parents whose last child has now graduated from GJS, saying goodbye to each other today, the last days of the school year can result in a mix of sadness and joy, tears as well as laughter. To all departing community members who will be embarking on new adventures away from GJS, we wish you all farewell.
Thank you to all for helping GJS continue to build our strong sense of family and community. We wish that you all have made fond memories, lasting friendships, and experienced personal growth and development from your time as a member of our community. Please remember, 'Once a member of the GJS family, always a member of the GJS Family! Once a Hawk, Always a Hawk!'
As we prepare for the coming new school year, new faculty arrive on campus for induction on July 24, and returning faculty and staff on July 31. All new and returning Primary and Secondary students will begin the school year on August 7.
Admissions continue to accept and process applications for the 2023-2024 academic year.
If you have colleagues, friends and/or family interested in learning more about joining our community, our Admissions office continues to accept and process applications for the 2023-2024 academic year. Please encourage them to contact Ibu Kania, our GJS Admissions officer, at admissions@globaljaya.com or by phone at +62 21 745 7562 Ext.154 for further details.
Please note, over the summer holiday we will only send out updates via ManageBac if and when needed. Otherwise, please expect that our next edition of the Kontak newsletter, the first edition of the 2023-2024 school year, will be sent out on July 28, 2023.
On behalf of the Leadership team, all the staff and faculty of GJS, please enjoy a most pleasant, relaxing and rewarding summer holiday!
