Dear Parents,
Greetings.
Here are a few updates to the May 2022 examinations session.
New courses for the first assessments - Economics, TOK ( Theory of Knowledge), and Music
New assessment component: Lang B HL & SL and Ab initio - the listening component will begin in May 2022
Adaptations from the previous session will continue this session as well with some adjustments, which I have already communicated with you in the past.
Coursework:
All Internal assessments (IAs) will be uploaded with the comments and marks.
Except, the subjects in the Arts and TOK
Predicted Grades:
IB will provide the predicted grade distributions for all subjects.
The school may exceed the distribution by providing evidence to IB.
We will receive further information from IB later.
Examinations: The IB will hold the examinations as usual in May 2022 globally, but the decision about the Indonesian region will be taken later.
The students will be awarded the grades using contingency measures if they miss the exams due to quarantines.
The IB will provide further information in January regarding the plan for this session.
Awarding: The grade boundaries will be set in this session to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on the students’ learning. The IB will expect the grade distribution to be between May 2021 and May 2019.
These are the upcoming deadlines for Year 12 students.
