Call the Number Detectives!
The Year 1 students became enthusiastic Number Detectives, exploring how numbers play a vital role in organizing our daily lives! Guided by thoughtful questions like, "What are numbers for?" and "How do numbers help us organize ourselves?" The students set out on an exciting adventure around the school.
Armed with curiosity, they searched for numbers in their natural habitatsβfinding them everywhere! From classroom door numbers that tell us where to learn, to library opening times that help us plan our visits, to page numbers in books guiding us through stories, and even price tags that help us understand value.
Through this engaging activity, students discovered that numbers are more than just symbols; they are essential tools that help us make sense of the world, keep things in order, and navigate everyday life smoothly.Β
Our Number Detectives had a fantastic time uncovering the stories numbers tell and how they help us stay organized and informed.
Weβre proud of our young learners for their keen observations and thoughtful discussions about the powerful role of numbers in our lives!
