Year 10 MYP Personal Project:
We are excited to begin the 2024-2025 personal project journey with the year 10 students. Ibu Popy, our MYP Personal Project Coordinator, has been hard at work setting up our students for success. Next week students will find out their supervisor. They will then set up a meeting to meet with them to explain their learning goal and product goal. Last year our GJS students exceeded the IB MYP world average in personal project. The world average was 4.01 and GJS students averaged 5.03 out of 7 maximum points!
Next steps: We will host an interactive parent meeting on September 13th from 8 am to 9 am in the MPR3 Room in the B building. We hope to see you there!

Service as Action:
All MYP Global Jaya students will begin their Service as Action. This is an MYP requirement that is required to be completed before entering the Diploma Programme. In MYP Core classes next week, we will go over the requirements and learn how students can get involved in Service as Action. When students attend the Week without Walls, they will complete one of their Service as Action experience requirements. Students will also work with their groups to create activites during WWW.
Currently some students have already chosen to work with Ibu Arruna with the SA Student Buddies. Also, students are invited to work with Ibu Sandra as ushers to assist with Open Day on August 23rd.
