The Living Museum

The Living Museum activity was a fantastic way to engage students actively in understanding the various roles and responsibilities that contribute to their school environment. Here’s a summary of how this activity benefited students and the school community:

1. Active Learning and Engagement:

   • By taking on an active role in the Living Museum, students transitioned from being mere spectators to becoming investigators and explorers. This hands-on approach to learning encouraged curiosity and a deeper understanding of the school community.

2.  Understanding Roles and Responsibilities: 

   • The activity allowed students to interact directly with different members of the school staff, including teachers, cleaning staff, security personnel, and others. Through these interactions, students learned about the specific duties and responsibilities each role entails, enhancing their awareness of how various functions support a safe and effective learning environment.

3.  Building Respect and Appreciation:

   • By engaging with staff members and learning about their roles, students developed a greater respect and appreciation for everyone who contributes to the school. This fosters a culture of gratitude and acknowledgement, recognizing the hard work of all community members.

It empowered our Year 1 students to appreciate and contribute to their school environment meaningfully.
