Our grade 2 students enthusiastically entered their new classroom, embracing the challenges and joys of a new school year. The first day was an opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with our classroom routines and expectations. The first week of school was also filled with activities related to our first unit of inquiry which focuses on how communication systems foster collaboration across various communities.
Later in the month we also celebrated the 79th Indonesian Independence Day with various games such as; sarong relay, spoon marble race, and flag relay. The students were also introduced to some Independence songs such as; “Halo - Halo Bandung” and "Hari Merdeka” and sang together during class time.
As the weeks progressed, students began to settle into their new roles and routines. By the end of the third week, they were all well on their way to embracing their second-grade experience.
