The new student orientation program is carried out before school starts. This is done to provide an overview of how the school operates, gain insight into the curriculum, give some tips for joining a new school, and introduce the school environment. The Student Council led several game activities to create a warm atmosphere. At the end of the program, new students tour the school for an introduction to the school environment guided by the Students Council.
The second orientation program is for all students on the first day of school. The activities begin with a year-level meeting to get general explanations, and then, they go to an advisory class for specific information. Each class has unique activities.
Students also have class, from this class students are expected to understand the objectives, curriculum framework, assessment, and expectations for each subject. At the end of the day, all students and teachers gathered in the theater. There is an opening for the new school year.
Week Without Walls is a programme through which students in Year 7-10 engage in learning beyond the classroom and helps students embrace their potential to make a difference. Our week-long experiences give our students a real taste of culture, immersing them in life with a local community, involving them in meaningful project work and inspiring them with a new world of cultural experiences. This program also in conjunction with the interdisciplinary unit in MYP, bridges the connection between classroom and outside classroom. In preparation for the programme, several parent meetings were conducted during the beginning of the year.
