Dear Ibu Kartini
You have been an inspiration to the entirety of women and girls in Indonesia because of what you have done for our country.
You have helped us realize that women should be able to receive equality, equity, and freedom just as men do. Just because women are stereotyped as “less than,” soft, or fragile, doesn't necessarily mean that we have to be kept below men. Because of you, Ibu Kartini, our society has taken its chance to develop to its fullest potential. This generation has become one where both men and women are balanced on the scale, and given the same opportunities and rights.
You have inspired us to work hard and rise independently, showing that women are just as capable of doing what men can do. Thank you, Ibu Kartini, for fighting for women’s empowerment and justice so that your dream of equity in Indonesia can come true for the benefit of us all.
On the 21st of April, we would like to commemorate your dedication to the women of Indonesia, and thank you once again for being the women we all look up to.
Kindest regards,
Laksmi and Kinar M.
Kartini in the Eyes of the Young Generation
By: Indi 7BIn the young generation, Kartini's vision gleams,
Her dreams of equity, like sunlight streams.
Empowered minds, regardless of gender's guise,
In their hearts, her legacy forever flies.
Her spirit whispers through the ages anew,
Inspiring youth to embrace what's true.
With courage and wisdom, they forge ahead,
In Kartini's footsteps, they're fearlessly led.
Their gaze fixed on horizons, bright and clear,
Where equality reigns, banishing fear.
Innovators, activists, champions bold,
In Kartini's vision, their stories unfold.
So let the young, with hearts so bold,
Embrace her tale, let it unfold.
For in Kartini's view, behold,
A timeless truth, a story told.
