Throughout this unit, students in Reception have engaged with a variety of narratives, delving into the fundamental components of storytelling, including the introduction, development, and conclusion of each tale. They have also analyzed the characters, settings, and moral lessons embedded within the stories they have explored. Students have also actively participated in creating puppets for interactive play. Together, they formed groups and selected roles for the puppet performances. These puppet-based activities act as a tool for socialization, helping students understand and practice social interactions. Link Photo

While practicing for the Assembly, we observed students become risk-takers and demonstrate responsibility in carrying out their assigned tasks. They enthusiastically and confidently shared what they had learned with the entire primary school. We are so proud of our students and their ability to convey their learning using puppetry and dramatization. Link Photo

Reception students loved reading "Jack and the Beanstalk" and other storybooks. In honor of Earth Day, we will connect the stories they have read and plan a hands-on activity centered around planting red beans and peanut seeds. The students in Reception will actively look after these plants daily, tending to them by watering and ensuring they receive adequate sunlight. Additionally, they will personalize the plants by embellishing them with drawings of the castles they have created. Link Photo
