Storybird

In the fall of 2012 ELL students across the district participated in an exciting project that integrated literacy, art, and technology. Students used the Storybird online program to create published books in many genres including poetry, narrative, and expository writing. Students used artwork available on the site to inspire their writing and then wrote and edited their books online. 

Each student received a hard cover copy of their book during the Foreign Language Literacy Showcase in February 2013. This project was funded through an Immigrant Children and Youth Grant from the State Department of Education.
