The Shimadzu LCMS-9030 Q-TOF (Quadrupole Time-of-Flight) is a high-resolution mass spectrometer that can analyze a variety of samples, including:
Biological samples: Whole blood, for analyzing drugs and their metabolites.
Polymer additives: In food containers, for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Natural product extracts: Like honeysuckle flowers, for identification and profiling of compounds.
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs): For characterization in biopharmaceutical development.
Food products: For assessing food safety, authenticity, and nutritional values by detecting contaminants or identifying components.
Environmental samples: For analyzing air, water and soil for pollutants.
Pharmaceutical samples: For monitoring and identifying impurities, degradation products, and metabolites.
Capabilities of the Shimadzu LCMS-9030:
High Sensitivity and Accuracy: It offers superior sensitivity for quantitative and qualitative analysis of samples over a wide concentration range, including ultra-trace compounds. Patented technologies ensure high resolution and excellent mass measurement accuracy (MMA). This means it can distinguish between compounds with similar masses, supporting confident identification of unknown compounds and structure elucidation.
Ultrafast Performance: The instrument enables high-speed data acquisition, making it suitable for high-throughput laboratories.
Compatibility with Microflow Analysis: The Micro-ESI 9030 interface allows for microflow analysis, offering higher sensitivity, shorter analysis times, and improved robustness.
Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis: The LCMS-9030 supports both qualitative (identifying substances) and quantitative (measuring substance amounts) analysis.
Data Analysis and Processing: The system can be integrated with software like LabSolutions and Insight to facilitate data analysis, including MS/MS library searches, structural analysis, formula prediction, and charge state deconvolution.
Imaging Mass Microscopy Capability: When coupled with the iMScope QT, the LCMS-9030 can provide detailed MS/MS information from specific areas of tissue samples, enabling high-resolution mass imaging.
Robust and Reliable: The system delivers reproducible results with infrequent calibration needed, and it achieves reproducible quantitative analysis over longer periods.
These capabilities make the Shimadzu LCMS-9030 a powerful tool for various applications in different fields, including pharmaceuticals, food safety, and research.
