Athena knew Perseus would beg her for help, and felt joy at his plea: “Hello my great son, I know what brings you here to me.
I’ll help you with this task, then give you a special reward, But first I offer you a shield, winged boots, a magic bag, and a sword."
Excited, joyful and worried, Athena knew the Gorgon could be slain, but if Perseus gazed into Medusa's eyes, he’d turn to stone and Athena would go insane.
Perseus holds the strong, shiny shield of Athena back; Medusa, filled with rage, makes the snakes attack.
As the serpents lashed out with a shake and a rattle, He had to use his senses like a blind person in battle.
Medusa LUNGED at him angry and upset, Brave Perseus tried to SNATCH her by her dry, scaly neck.
Slash! The horrifying, snaky, lady lost all of her pride , as red, oozy blood squirted out of her sides.
Her sneaky, stinky, snakes detached from her head. Perseus stood proud, he had Medusa dead!
“I will be back!” Medusa exclaimed, with great anguish and great pain. “This was not a fair punishment for being so vain.”
