Each summer, full tuition scholarships are offered to NBPS students who participated in residency programming during that academic year. Scholarships are made available for up to two students per grade, per school by the generous support of the Rutgers Community Health Foundation and George Street Playhouse's Inspirers' Circle.

Students are nominated and selected by their classroom teachers based on level of participation in the residency, theatrical aptitude, most improved behavior, or academic excellence.

Junior Company cultivated students' imaginations and spirits of fun. Inspired by a classic children's story, students learned the foundations of theatre by creating an original play, developing characters, and participating in the design process.

Rising Company ventured into a fun, mythic world of imagination to develop, rehearse, and perform an original, action-packed play. Students learned the foundations of acting through improvisation, character development, and collaborative activities as they created a performance complete with lights, sets, and costumes.

Rising M Company explored the joy of musical theatre through the rehearsal and performance of "The Odyssey". Students developed singing, dancing, and acting techniques that culminated in a fully produced performance with lights, sets, and costumes.

Starting with dynamic source material, Young M Company worked with professional playwrights, composers, and choreographers to develop characters, write songs and stage the action. Young M Company provided students with a fun, imaginative opportunity to develop acting, singing, design, and collaborative skills.
