All three classes focused intensely on the conflict over water: who is fighting, why, and who has power? An exploration of the water crisis in Mexico City led to the creation of student-written dialogue and original music, which demonstrated students' understanding that access to water can be a life or death situation, depending on where you live. In culmination, each class performed their piece twice and reflected on their experience. Teachers shared that their students walked away from the residency with a clear understanding of how the competing factions responded to the complicated problem of water.
